Haeyoon was revealed as a contestant on Mnet's survival show "Produce 48" as a trainee representing FNC Entertainment. On August 30, she was eliminated in the finale episode with her final rank in 19th place. Several months later on November 22, 2018 she was announced as a member of the girl group, Cherry Bullet.  Haeyoon debuted as a member of Cherry Bullet on January 21, 2019 with their first single album "Let's Play Cherry Bullet" and title track "Q&A".  Following Mi Rae's departure from the group on December 13, 2019, Hae Yoon was appointed as Cherry Bullet's new leader as she is the oldest member.
